Walk-ins on Conference Day: fill out a Mail-in Registration and bring it with you on Saturday, Sept. 29 to speed up your registration.

Conference Basic Info

“Writing-in-Progress” is designed for writers of all genres & experience levels–open to adults, 11th and 12th grade high school students, &  college students.

The conference will begin with breakfast snacks and coffee, followed by a Kick-off General Session. Sessions #2, #3, and #4 will be organized by the above tracks.  In the workshop sessions, you will experience a mini-lesson presented by an expert workshop leader, followed by writing time, reading aloud (optional), and feedback.

Conference registration includes snacks, lunch, and an agent pitch. Critique sessions & headshots are available for an extra cost. Join us for a day and leave inspired by what you have learned and more importantly by what you have written!

Policies on Castle Rock Writers Conference

CONFERENCE PHOTO RELEASE: Castle Rock Writers, a registered non-profit will be photographing the conference, and your image may be used in promotional material. By registering, you hereby grant Castle Rock Writers permission to use any photographs and recordings procured at the event, in any and all print and electronic media (e.g. website, print, and promotional material) and any derivations thereof.

CANCELLATION & REFUND POLICY: No refunds after October 1, 2017. In extenuating circumstances, the conference director may choose to give credit for the 2018 conference.

WEATHER POLICY: In case of extreme weather, dangerous conditions, or other events beyond our control, the conference will be cancelled and rescheduled. Your payment will be applied to the rescheduled conference. Those unable to attend will receive a credit toward the 2018 conference. No refunds. If the conference is cancelled, registrants and speakers will receive email notification.

INFORMATION REGARDING CONFERENCE DAY

  • Complimentary breakfast snacks, coffee and tea, and ice water will be provided.
  • Bring your laptop (fully charged) or a notebook for writing exercises.
  • Business casual attire is suggested.
  • Bringing your own coffee mug and water bottle will help keep our conference green!

Directions: Take I-25 to Exit 183, Meadows/Founders (Factory Outlets exit). Go west. Cross over Santa Fe (Hiway 85). Turn left onto Prairie Hawk Drive. Turn right onto New Hope Way. Turn right into the parking lot.
