Kick-off & Critiques

Critiques: Laurie Marr Wasmund and Linda Berry will critique five (5) pages of your manuscript, plus a 1-2-page synopsis or a one-paragraph introduction. You will receive 1) written feedback and 2) a session with the critique editor (approx.15 minutes). Required: 1” margins, Times New Roman, double-spaced, 12 pt.
Select one or both critique editors when you register online or mail in your registration. The cost is $25 each. Email your manuscript to Manuscript due October 5.

BIO: Laurie Marr Wasmund     Laurie is a writer, editor, and community college instructor. Her novel, My Heart Lies Here, is a story of the Ludlow Massacre in Colorado; and her second novel, Clean Cut, is set in Wyoming. The first book of her White Winter Trilogy, To Do Justice, is a novel set in World War I. It is now available. Her teaching includes 15 years at Arapahoe Community College, Metro State University, and University of Denver. She has presented at various writers’ conference, and she is a returning faculty member of Castle Rock Writers conferences.

BIO: Linda Berry   Linda’s first paid publication was a children’s story, for which she earned half a cent a word. Since then, her credits have grown to include short fiction for children and adults, plays, poetry, a newspaper entertainment column, and six Trudy Roundtree mystery novels. She’s a member of Colorado Dramatists, the Denver Woman’s Press Club, and Rocky Mountain Fiction Writers. She is a returning faculty member of Castle Rock Writers. She and her husband try to organize their lives around theater tickets.
