To submit an event for writers or a publishing success to the CRW Email news: Contact Us – Castle Rock Writers  Castle Rock Writers Summertime Speaker: Novelist Barbara Wright  On Monday, July 8, 6:30–8:30 pm on Zoom, novelist Barbara Wright will speak on “From Traditional Publishing to Independent Publishing: One Writer’s Story.” After publishing three novels traditionally, Wright chose to self-publish her fourth book, Anny in Love. The author will share her writer’s journey and what she has learned about writing. Questions and answers will follow the presentation.Overview from the website: When Vanity Fair author William Thackeray dies without a will, his young adult daughter Anny is forced to support her sister and their mad mother in a Victorian world uncongenial to female talent and ambition. His Book Sapello Son was published on June 11, 2024, by Bull City Press Sapello Son by Alejandro Lucero – Bull City Press Well done, Castle Rock Writers Conference Team, on your first “Meet the Authors Book Fair” this past spring at the Castle Rock Recreation Center. Thirty writers were featured. This fundraiser raised funds for the Love What You Write Writers Conference 2024, held on August 24, 8 am to 3 pm at The Hub in Lone Tree. Barbara Wright is the author of the newly published Anny in Love and Plain Language, which won a Spur Award from Western Writers of America. In her spare time, she plays tennis and jazz piano. She lives in Denver, Colorado, with her husband, Frank Gay.
